So, you want to know a little about me. I was born in Chicago, Illinois but grew up in a small town called Troy, Michigan. Throughout high school I dabbled in modeling and dreamed about acting but never really considered those avenues a real career choice. Let's face it; no one from a small midwestern town could actually make a living in the entertainment industry, right? After high school, I attended the University Of Michigan and from there finished my Structural Engineering Degree at a private Architectural / Engineering School called Lawrence University.

The plan after graduation was to work for an Architectural Engineering Firm designing and building commercial structures and private homes. As we all know, rarely does life go the way we plan so, instead of the A/E firm I somehow found myself joining the Army.

Most people who join the military after college become Officers. Not me. I went enlisted. My goal was to become an Airborne Ranger and that's what I did. I was in the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) community that included the Navy Seals, the Army Special Forces and the Marine Corps Recon detachments among others.

After the military I decided to "chase the Hollywood dream" so I moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. A few years later a huge opportunity presented itself to me. It was the film "Black Hawk Down". The interesting thing about that film was that it was about the unit I was in, in the military. Needless to say, the film was a perfect fit for me and I was extremely proud to be a part of it.

About a year later I decided to expand on my creativity as a filmmaker, so I wrote a film script. From that script I directed my first short film. That experience lead to writing more award winning screenplays.
